The problem

You're buried. And the flood is only getting worse.

Solo founders and tiny teams filling remote roles get hit hardest. You're not Stripe. You don't have an HR team or a $699/seat tool. You need one role filled, fast.

🤖
Every résumé sounds identical
AI-polished applications flood every job post — same keywords, same bullet structure, same generic enthusiasm. Impossible to tell who actually did the work.
⚖️
"AI detector" tools carry legal risk
Rejecting someone because a black-box algorithm flagged their résumé as "AI-generated" invites EEOC and Title VII exposure. That's not a bet you want to take.
💸
Assessment tools assume you hire constantly
TestGorilla starts at $83/mo on a 12-month commit. Mokka is $699/seat. You're hiring twice a year. Why subscribe to a platform you'll barely use?
Writing good questions takes expertise
Role-specific verification questions are hard to write cold. Most interviewers fall back on generic questions any well-coached applicant can ace without real experience.

From job description to ranked shortlist in four steps.

No HR expertise needed. The tool does the hard part.

1
Paste the job description
No account needed. Drop your JD in the box — the more detail, the better the questions. We generate everything in under 30 seconds.
2
AI writes the screening kit
5 verification questions specific to your role — impossible to answer convincingly without real hands-on experience — plus a 30–60 min work sample tailored to the JD.
3
Candidates prove they're real
Share a unique /apply link in your job post or email. Applicants paste their résumé and answer each question. A work sample completes the picture.
4
Get your ranked shortlist
Each answer is cross-checked against the candidate's own résumé claims. Contradictions are flagged automatically. You see who's consistent — and who isn't.

"Prove you're real" — not a black-box verdict.

Instead of flagging résumés with an AI detector (EEOC risk, no due process), candidates get a fair, skills-based challenge. They either can answer the questions — or they can't.

  • 1 Paste their résumé. Candidates share full work history — the same claims we'll cross-check every answer against.
  • 2 Answer 5 role-specific questions. Designed to be answerable only by someone who's actually done this work — not someone who prompted ChatGPT with the job description.
  • 3 Complete a short work sample. A 30–60 min task that produces evaluable output. Generic answers are obviously hollow. Real practitioners nail the specifics.

Candidates with real experience love this — it gives them a way to stand out from the AI-résumé flood. Only the people faking their experience have reason to object.

Verification question 2 of 5
Describe the last time you diagnosed and resolved a production memory leak in a Node.js service. What tools did you use to find it, and what was the root cause?
Be specific — reference real projects and measurable outcomes. Generic answers score poorly.

Why not ChatGPT + a free Google Form?

Great question. ChatGPT can write screening questions. Google Forms can collect answers. But neither does the part that actually tells you anything useful.

ChatGPT + Google Form
Questions are generic — any JD produces the same 5 behavioral questions a prepared candidate has seen 50 times before.
You collect answers in a spreadsheet. You still have to read 200 responses, manually compare them to each résumé, and spot contradictions yourself.
No ranking. No scoring. No flagging. You spend a weekend comparing forms, then guess.
Candidates know the game — they just paste the questions back into ChatGPT and submit the output to your form.
TrueApply
Questions are generated from your specific JD — referencing named tools, responsibilities, and context that aren't in generic interview guides.
Every answer is automatically cross-checked against the candidate's own résumé. "I have 5 years of Python" meets "this answer reads like week 1 of a tutorial" — and gets flagged.
You open one ranked list. Top candidates are at the top. Contradictions are labeled. You review 3 people, not 200.
The work sample requires evaluable output. You can tell the difference between someone who did it and someone who generated it — specificity, context, and tacit knowledge are hard to fake.

FAQ

Common questions

Is the first role really free? No credit card?
Yes — the first role you screen is completely free with no card required. You get the full screening kit, the /apply link, and the ranked shortlist. Only additional roles cost $39 each.
What if candidates just use AI to answer the questions?
The cross-checking is the defense. We don't flag "AI writing" (EEOC risk) — we flag answers that contradict the candidate's own résumé claims. An AI-generated answer that invents specific project details your resume doesn't support gets scored low. Real experience is hard to fake coherently.
How are the questions generated? Can I edit them?
Claude generates 5 role-specific questions from your job description — referencing actual tools, responsibilities, and context in your JD, not generic interview advice. You get to review and edit every question before the /apply link goes live.
How many candidates can apply to one role?
Unlimited. The $39 (or free first role) is per screening session — not per candidate. Whether you get 5 applications or 500, the fee is the same.
What does the ranked shortlist actually show?
Each candidate card shows a consistency score (0–100), a plain-English summary from the AI, any flagged contradictions between their answers and résumé, and per-question notes. Candidates are sorted highest score first.
Do candidates need to create an account?
No. Candidates open the /apply link, paste their résumé, answer the questions, and submit. No sign-up, no account, no friction. You don't need an account to create a role either — just an email address.
